Getting Started
How do I set up my company and first store?
After creating your account, go to Company Settings to add your business information. Then navigate to Stores and click "Add New Store" to create your first location with address and contact details.
What's the best way to organize my products?
Start by creating categories that match your business (e.g., Electronics, Clothing, Home & Garden). Then add products with unique SKUs, names, and base prices. This organization helps with analytics and reporting.
Can I import my existing sales data?
Yes! You can import sales data via CSV files. The system will automatically create missing products during import. Make sure your CSV includes product names/SKUs, quantities, prices, and sale dates.
Team Management
How does the permission system work?
Our simplified system uses two access levels (Daily Sales or Full Access) plus store-specific access controls.
How do team members join my company?
Team members submit join requests which you can review and approve in the Team → Join Requests section. Once approved, you can set their permissions using our 3-level system.
Can I limit which stores a team member can access?
Yes! In the permission settings, you can select specific stores for each team member or give them access to all locations. This is perfect for businesses with multiple locations.
Sales & Analytics
What analytics and reports are available?
You can view sales trends, top-performing products, store comparisons, and custom date range analysis. All data can be filtered by store, category, or product and exported to CSV for further analysis.
How do I add sales data quickly?
Use the Sales → Add Sale form for individual transactions, or import multiple sales at once using CSV files. The system automatically calculates totals and validates data for accuracy.
Can I export my sales data and reports?
Yes! You can export sales data, analytics reports, and product information to CSV format. Use filters to export only the data you need for specific time periods or stores.
Technical & Setup
Is MoMetriX DataHub mobile-friendly?
Absolutely! The platform is fully responsive and works perfectly on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. You can add sales, view analytics, and manage your business from any device.
What file formats are supported for data import?
We support CSV (comma-separated values) files for importing sales data, products, and categories. The system includes validation to ensure data quality and will highlight any issues.
Can I customize data fields for my business needs?
Yes! In Company Settings → Data Schema, you can configure custom fields, validation rules, and data types to match your specific business requirements.
How secure is my business data?
We follow standard web security practices (hashed passwords, CSRF protection, role-based access). Enable HTTPS and backups in your deployment for best protection.
Troubleshooting
My CSV import is failing. What should I check?
Ensure your CSV has all required columns (product, quantity, price, date), check date formats match your system settings, verify product names exist in your catalog, and remove special characters from numeric fields.
A team member can't see certain data. Why?
Check their permission settings: verify their access level, confirm date range permissions, and ensure they have access to the relevant stores. Contact an admin to update permissions if needed.
Analytics charts are empty. What's wrong?
Check the selected date range, verify store and category filters are correct, ensure you have permission to view the data, and confirm sales data exists for the selected time period.
